need help with alternator/wiring problem

hi i had a guy install the back lights for the liscense plate
and ever since that I have to keep clicking my headlights an running lights on and off to make my battery light go off?? thats not normal.
it starts charging again but the battery light sometimes goes back on and it kills my battery.
can anyone help me out??

I would start by looking at your ground cables and battery terminals..


See if the belt on the alternator has stretched to become loose . do you hear any squealing at all.

Could also be the wire coming off the B terminal of the alternator or the plug itself is corroded .

The alternator or the battery could be dieing the heat is harder on the electrical system then the cold.

some place something is not allowing the charging system to work worn out parts bad connection loose belt

If you don`t have a multimeter now is the time to invest in one and do a step by step trouble shooting of the problem.
