need help with 4x4

i have a 1989 toyota 4runner V6 and sumthin is up with my 4x4. when i put it into 4LO or high, i can feel it lockn like the power nd all, the front drive shaft even turns but when im stuck or goin up a hill the front doesnt pull me out at all, like they dont even spin, it dont make sence ha. could sumone help me out or have advice please?

check actualator on front differential maybe stuck or a vacume line off or broke somewear. also after that change to asin manuals .save gas milege and wear on front differential and axles.
