Need clutch and transmission help on a 86 pickup with a 22r
I just recently bought a 86 Toyota pickup with a 22r in it when I got it the guy had just put a new clutch set in it and then the truck spun a rod bearing so I rebuilt the motor and put it back in the truck and now I can't get it to take gear when it's running I can put it in gear and start it up and the clutch works right but still won't shift or anything I'm lost with it and don't know what to do any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hydraulic systems malfunction...?
Low/leaking fluid...?
-Clutch master cyldiner.
-Slave cyldiner.
Clutch disc/pressure plate assembly installed incorrectly..?
Clutch disc/pressure plate assembly never serviced...?(You would have seen it with engine removed.)
Clutch release fork damaged/missing...?

The clutch set is brand new When I bloated it to the flywheel I made sure it was the right way as it said crankshaft block this side that one was what bolted to the flywheel I have uput a longer rod in the slave cylinder with no luck I bought a brand new slave cylinder and still no luck bought a new master cylinder on it and stilllll no luck I have the reservoir cap off for the night to see if any air may be in it but I really don't believe that's it the only thing I can think that's left is maybe shimming the flywheel and checking the fork but it seems fine if I can get it to take gear and I can take off and it shifts fine till I come back to a complete stop then I can't shift gears I'm just lost now it worked fine before I took the motor out

Sounds like air the system.
Bleed system VIA the bleeder on the slave cyldiner.
-It may take an assistant and some "pumping" effort to fully bleed the hydraulics of air.
-Watch the action of the slave cyldiner during "pedal pumping" is the slave cyldiner function satisfactory...?(Moving the fork in and out.)
Possible incorrectly adjusted pedal to clutch master cyldiner.
"-Pedal free play."

the air will not bleed out with just having the cap off.
the air needs to come out the bleeder in the slave cylinder.
when pressure is built up by pushing the clutch pedal in unless you have a vacuum bleeder.
If you changed both without bleeding that is why the clutch is not working .
The air got in when it was disconnected when you pulled the engine more then likely.
