I am unsure whether my 4runner is an '89 or a '90....I was always under the impression that it was a '90...I believe it was sold to me as a '90....it is 2nd gen body style...the vin tag in the door jamb list manufacture date of 07/89....I understood that the year of the vehicle is the following year after the manufatcure date...maybe i am wrong?....I have always gotten parts for a '90...but recently have an issue with clutch master cylinder....anyways if there are any experts out there, could use some clarification....thanks...

 

If its a second gen body style its a 90, the 2nd gen style came out in 90.

...have you anyone you know ever heard of the factory using parts from previous years to use them up?...because I can't seem to get a hold of the right clutch mastercylinder

Tell them 90 for parts, unless it looks like mine...see profile pic<<<<<
