manual steering - 94 Toyota Pick up

Hello Everyone,

Just got my truck running again and it is kind of tough to steer. Part of the problem is the fact that I have been spoiled with power steering for the past year but I also believe it might need some lubrication or something. The truck has been sitting for a year.

At the end of my steering rod there appears to be a cylindrical shaped enclosure in which i'm assuming houses some type of gear(s). How do i go about lubing it or changing the fluid?

Is it any worse than previous manual steering vehicles you've driven?

Wow I did not know manual steering was a option still in 94

just grease all the front suspension and steering parts.

of course the bigger the tires the harder it is to steer

keeping the air pressure in the tires correct will help as well

Hope it was still an option. I've had the truck for nearly 10 years and it has not been easy to park. haha
