i have a 93 pickup that died and won't start. Noticed the the fuel pump is not running I know this is turned on by the MAF So I got a new one but still won't turn on the fuel pump if I jump the B+ to the the FP the fuel pump turns on and the truck will start but the gate on the MAF won't open if I manually open it the truck runs ok does anyone have any ideas for me thanks

 

Either a mechanical problem keeping it from opening like it should

You have massive air leaks in your intake drawing in air between the throttle body and the AFM not having enough draw to move the door and close the switch
