Machining rims to fit
So I bought new tires, Firestone destination mt's and I don't wanna put them on my old looking chev rims. I found a nice set of aluminium pathfinder rims for 40 can. They were painted gun metal. My question is will the fit my toyota hubs I can use a die grinder or have them milled if its not to much. Any input is apreciated. Deals on rims like this are hard to come by in nova scotia.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the pathfinder has the large center bore like Toys... Best to measure them to double check. The both pattern is the same, so the only other thing that may make it not fit is the back spacing...

I have old chev wheels on it now, the back spacing wasn't right so it has wheel spacers on it. They are about 1/4 inch. So I did measure with a tape but looks like ill be seeing a machinist cause center bore is not the same by like 2mm.

They swap back and fourth, I have spares mounted on both stock wd21 Pathfinder wheels and A couple different style Toyota wheels, they interchange between both trucks. Main "issue" will be on some Nissan "Lego" wheels they used lug nuts like the 4 spoke sr5 aluminum wheels (though it ain't very common to find honestly as most of them had regular acorn lugs, which ARE a different thread pitch). To run GM full size wheels on a Nissan, you have to do the same hub hole bore as a Toyota too

Probably worded wrong but it was meant as in GM wheels need the same work to fit a Toyota as they do a Nissan, Nissans having the larger hub as well. But I did forget to add that if they are off of a unibody r50 Pathfinder backspacing might cause you some issues, off a full framed wd21 (87-95) shouldn't make you sweat at all though (since I don't know what wheels exactly your lookin at, but am just dangerously assuming they are "Lego's" [wd21 fact. aluminums] since you said aluminum and they are commonly painted)

I have one in my truck, so ill just test fit one. But hope they fit. If the back spacing is wrong couldn't I just use a wheel spacer?

Yesterday I painted a new set of used wheels I got for a steal on craigslist. Unfortunately the rims are older GM and I noticed they are fitting over the hubs.
I'm thinking of grinding the centers to fit. Does anyone have tips or advice on this? The rims appear lug-centric and i'm using pitched lug nuts so I dont see a big problem if I end up a little large on the holes. Anyone else see an issue with them not being "hub-centric"?
PS..I dont have permission to post pictures..Guess I was a bad boy. If someone else wants to post, i've got good pictures of what the non-fitting GM rim would look like. I HAVE had other stock GM rims fit the hubs in the past.
