Lift vs Spacers and Other Info

Ok, I tried searching and finding information on this, and I wanted to make sure what I gathered was right along with some other questions I have.

I have a 2001 SR5 Sport 4 Runner. My Tires rub in the front. They are 26570r16's on aftermarket rims. I doni't need much more clearnence for them to stop rubbing. I have read that coil spacers will fix it, but i have also read they ruin your shocks and make your ride worse. Is this true or false. Would it be easier to do maybe a lift, and if so body or suspension. Last question, I thought i rread on here that the third generation 4 runner was lower in the front then the back; is that true or false, and if it is can that be fixed with spacers. Thank you in advance

Ryan

Coil spacers front and rear would probably be your cheapest option after a body lift.

It really depends. I mean, A 2.5" lift spacer is going to put to much preload on your springs and make them stiffer. So yes, True
Now a 1/2"-1" would probably be ok ride wise

Easier to do probably body lift

Actually most years 4Runners are lower in the back because toyota didnt make the springs stiff enough.
And yes it can be fixed with coil spacers.
Not the best option in my opinion but if your not looking for much lift I say go for it

I would personally go with coil spacers if you dont want to do any trimming.

ok. So r u saying a body lift would be cheaper, and not affect my ride. Sounds like a 2 inch body lift is the answer. R body lifts easy to install or should i get it done professionally.

If you have any mechanical ability and some patience, the body lift will be an easy install. 6 to 8 hours of labor would be a good average estimate to install a body lift.
