lift on my 4runner

I just boughta 87 toyota 4runner with like 3-4 inch lift on it! It has extenders on the front bump stops. So I only have about 1-2 inches of movement up front. Can I take the extenders off with out hurting anything?

If it has an ifs bracket lift, the extenders might be used to maintain the same distance between the UCA and the bump stop.

In that case, they are used to save your CV's. Jack up your truck, and let the front tires sag. When they are at full droop, spin them by hand. If they are not binding, then you might be able to raise the stops. Once it starts to bind, you have gone too far and have to move the stops farther down.
