is this length safe?

I just got finished putting together my isr mod and i had to buy a new hose because the old molded hose wouldnt flex enough to fit over the nipple.

I went to the auto parts store and bought 1' of heater hose and took it home where i cut it to fit in without sticking up too much.

let me know if you think the hose is still sticking up too much.
I cut it as short as i could with out making the hose crimp when bent.

again, just tell me what you think... the pics make it look like it sticks up higher than it really does and when the hood is closed it is just touching.
but i dont know what it will do over time.

it will rub through the hose eventually if it is touching, i would get an elbow or cut the tube down a little or both.

well the hose was like less than $1 so if it will eventually rub through (like 1 years time or more) im not really worried about it i can just keep an eye on it.
i might try to get an elbow though.. thanks

anyone else?

Idk about the rubbing through thing...But that will probably take a long time...

Make sure you carry more of that hose with you though, as if that ever takes a crap your mpg's would probably shoot down, and idk if it wont run with that or not, but that wouldnt be good.
