Just picked up a 90 4runner...now what?

So just picked it up today the thing starts up and goes. Now the problem i have is its a 3.o with roughly 90xxx miles on the motor and 256xxx miles on the chassis. The engine leaks and the bottom is caked to what seems to be oil that collected dirt. Should I try to find out whats leaking or what?

i would.. but its you engine and truck... you must have gotten a good deal if you noticed this and got the truck,, could be nothing.. maybe clean the engine compatment and engine real good then you can see where its leaking.. could just be an easy seal somewhere..

i like seeing stuff like this when i go buy a truck cause you can knock the price down for every little defect haha

Theres stuff called engine degreaser. I think you can pick it up at most auto parts store, or probably even Fred Meyers, Wal-Mart, etc.

Might just be left over from sloppy oil changes.
Pressure washer and some engine degreaser will clean things up.

Run it and look for leaks.
