Just bought my first toyota....

ive always wanted an old pickup but could never find one that was under 5k... i just picked up a 91 with aa 22re 5spd i love it but i took it on a few trails and when ever i came to a hill i make it half way up and it dies.... could this be the fuel pump going bad.... it sat for a lil over a year just drove from front to back thats it... anything else yall could help me with.. i had a 90 cherokee so this is a lil different for me

Im no expert but maybe the fuel pick up isnt going to the bottom of the tank ? Was the tank full ? I wonderif its a situation thats occurring as the level gets low .

it had a lil over half a tank in it... im goin to fill it up and add some injector cleaner to it to see if it will help at all. but other than that im a lil dissapointed i thought it was going to be a lot better off road

it should be geetin up hills fine since its efi must be something not quite right there

Don't be disappointed. They are great offroad. You've just got a problem to chase down and then you'll be fine.
