I've searched!! Does anyone else have alignment issues after multiple realignments??

I've gotten my 3rd gen 4runner realigned numerous times, it STILL KEEPS WEARING MY TIRES ON THE INSIDE!!! I can't stand it.

Also, I got new rotors on it but I heard it's common for 3rd gen to warp rotors easily, after about 20,000 it's startin to warp them again and im gonna have to get them shaved again......

Any help/tips/suggestions/fellow experiences Please!!!!!!! What to do??

What kind of shape are your ball joints in, tie rods? Tires properly balanced? proper tire pressure? There are a lot of things that can affect your alignment and lead to improper tire wear. I over torqued my lug nut once and ended up with warped rotors...

Where did you take it to be aligned?

Also, it seems once the tires establish a wear pattern, they kinda continue to wear that way.

i currently have 120k on my 02 4runner and my driver side inner tie rod is shot and cant be "locked" when its being aligned, atleast according to a shop here in gville. you might be looking at getting new tie rods at that mileage.

also, the brakes are a weak link on 3rd gens so you might want to go ahead and do the tundra brake upgrade if yoi keep warping your rotors.

Get a better alignment shop....

The shop I use - I work though the mech next door.
The mechs check for all the wear items etc (BJs TieRods etc)
After those items check out - THEN they take it to the alignment guy (across the street)

Basically - if the mechs take a vehcile over with a loose BJ, the alignment guy rejects the vehicle (wont align it) and laughs at the mechs...

Not the cheapest alignment around.

----

what KIND of wear ont he inside?
taper wear or "feather" or both?

Featehr is usually toe
taper is usually camber

what did the SPEC printout say?

They didnt give you a printout?
Get another alignment shop.
