my 85/87 22re w/ 5spd automatic: engine lights comes on at highway cruising speed but goes away if i decelerate or excelerate, then it comes back on after a mile or so.this is the only time the light come on. can't figure it out....

 

a start would be pulling the code #

 

i've tried pulling the code and asked a shop, but there is no code to read and they told me they cannot pull it unless the light is on at that time. it runs good. no hesitaion or anything when it happens.

 

Oxygen Sensor.

Replace with a good brand like Denso.
