upgrade to a scion or fj-cruiser mp3 player, and it can be found on ebay for about 35-60bucks shipped.

not hard, always a little scary thou...

you just basically need to disconnect the battery and follow the instructions in the FSM, or the haynes might have it, not sure.

you need to buy/rent/borrow a steering wheel puller.

do what? rent tools?

autozone does for sure, as does kragen/checkers/shucks

not sure about pepboys or advanced or others. call them up and ask if they do.

you can buy one too. but if you are seriously new at working on cars, especially working around airbags, you may want a more experienced person there to help you along.

Speakin of interior mods...
and sorry for the hijack...
But I was curious...
Has any one changed the LED bulbs in there Dash (speedo and air contols and what no) to BLue led lighting?
I am getting a new head unit down the road that has that particular light on the buttons and also just thorught that bluw would be an awsome color to show up through the dash and such...

likewise ... i've got all blue LED in the guages, ac controls, key ring, shifter, and pure white leds in the dome lights.

www.autolumination.com
www.superbrightleds.com

really fun to do! did the LED conversion in my girl's Acura Integra 96 GSR (all pure white to give the luxurious feel haha)

I didn't use any #74 bulbs. I daisy chained about 25 LEDs along the instrument cluster...I took it completely apart. I also laid about 10 behind the climate control. And finally a few plugged into the center console. If I had time I'd do it better on my next 3rd gen. Its only another year before I get back in the game. I'll make a new thread.

Led bulbs gave me uneven lighting but there are 4 in the cluster n 2 smaller bulbs in the climate control. There's also even smaller bulbs in ac button, rear window switch. They're not all the same size. Atleast for the 99 it's not.
