Ignition cylinder not working properly

Hey everyone, I think I’ve ran into a problem with my ignition. The old one was not working properly, I’ll explain. With the key in, I turn the key to the “acc” position and the truck cranks. No dash lights or anything comes on when in “acc”, just cranks. I replaced it with a brand new one. Same thing happens with the new one, I turn it to “acc” and nothing happens. As soon as it slightly.. and I mean slightly turn it past “acc” it cranks over. Idk if there is a relay/wire/ something else that is causing this but can someone please give me some sort of feed back to help me out. Thank you.
