Igniter wiring?

First post and searched and searched.
I have an 85 EFI toyota truck that I picked up and it needed a motor.
I have it all installed and now need to wire in the igniter.
The plug is missing from the wiring harness and the igniter itself is from another year or model?
So my wiring harness has,
BLK/Y
BLK/R
BLK/W

The igniter has the 3 prong green round plug but has,
Green
Black
Blue

The previous owner had this thing running before he tore it part but it looks like the wire harness got snagged on something and the plug got tore off.
I am trying to find a parts vehicle but wrecking yards are out currently. Hoping some of you guru's could help me out?
Thanks,
Gary

Does your ECU match the igniter you have??

Your wiring harness is out of a 85?? or who knows what year.??

What year is the engine out of??

Might be nice to know where you are??

Ok here is where I am at.
My ECU and wiring harness are stock 85 as far as I can tell. The igniter seems to be from another year, but has ran in this vehicle according to previous owner.
The motor was rebuilt by a person who only rebuilds 22r/re engines and seems to know his stuff. It was a rebuild long block built per my truck year.

I tried to start it today and got a sputter, then tried again and it ran for maybe 5 seconds then died. I then had to put some gas in the tank and it would not fire at all after that. I have not hooked up the three wires to igniter yet.

So this is the info I have so far on the wiring.

Harness:
Blk/yel = IGT
Blk/red = NE
Blk/wh = IGF

Igniter:
Green = NE?
Blue = IGT?
Grey = IGF? I thought this was a black wire before, but opening up igniter and seeing it close to black wire and cleaner it is grey in color.

I am out of time now but hope to get this hooked up tomorrow and see what happens??

You got it to run with out the igniter hooked up??

If that is the case you are far above any help I can give you.

I meant it would be nice to know where you live maybe some sort of help is close at hand.

I would try and get the correct plug it is much easier down the road to plug and unplug then cut and resolder wires.

If someone has the electrical manual for 1985 and the # off the igniter you would know for sure how to connect it and not fry anything.

So I have the igniter wires hooked up except for the 3 I listed. I am trying to find a proper plug and igniter for my year but no luck so far. All of them in the pick n pulls have been scavenged up locally.
I am in Everett Wa and putting out feelers for parts and advice at this time.
Thanks for replies wyoming9

If you're in everett check Nix99 (99 and muk speedway). I'm originally from Lynnwood and many parts in my truck are from them. They're a strictly toyota and lexus junkyard. Really good guys who know their stuff. Am pretty sure one of the gurus on here (deathcougar) works there.
I'm no help on the igniter, but, good luck!

Thanks Bingle.
Nix 99 has moved out to Snohomish and I was there yesterday without much help.
But I also went to Olympic 4x4 and they had 6 trucks and only one of them had a wiring harness the same as mine with the plug. Although they would not separate the plug from the harness they wanted $125 for the harness.
Being a cheap guy that I am they let me look at it and I got the wiring configuration into the plug and wrote it down. I got home and used 1/4 spade clips into the igniter male pins and she runs good now.
Here is the wiring configuration.
Harness to Igniter
Blk/red = Green
Blk/white = Grey
Blk/yellow= Blue

I only got to run the engine for about 30 minutes and it seems fine. I have not dialed it in nor checked the timing yet, but it seems I have those wires hooked up and running.
Thanks for the responses,
Gary
