hello!

so, i'm wondering if my heater core should be replaced soon. it is still working but recently it has been smelling like something is burning..mostly after it's warmed up for a few minutes. it also makes a gurgle noise...I keep an eye on the coolant levels but wondering if these could be symptoms of a bad heater core.

Bad heater cores you either have no or very little heat even when the valve is open and working like it should.

If you smell antifreeze in the cab and get moisture on the windshield when you turn on the defroster. that is also a very good sign

Now what does this burning smell seem to be rubber , oil , or wire insulation??

 

yea, it still works. that may not be the issue then. it's been driving a little rough lately. the burning smell is like oil but it's not everytime.
