Head gasket nightmare

I need a little help confirming that my head gasket blew. Driving home from work Saturday night truck was at op temp till 5-6 miles from home
Then saw gauge start to rise. At a stop light the truck died( that was normal cause of hot idle issue) next light the gauge was higher but still not really close to redline third light when trying to start truck to go it looked like I lit my exhaust on fire smoke just billowing out of tail pipe
Started to run a little rough after that
At that point I was trying to get to a parking lot
Missed the light and when I started the truck it started hard ran like crap and blew copious amounts of smoke out the tail pipe. I barely got it into a parking lot 70 feet from the corner
I got out and the smoke looked like I set something on fire. Checked under the good and no real noticeable steam bled off the radiator and waited a few minutes and saw no coolant at top of radiator waiting on tow got in truck and had a strong coolant smell
Next morning put watt in radiator and tried to start it just cranked. I think it is dead I just need confirmation thanks

What engine? Yes, sounds like HG went and possibly additional damage.

How does the coolant look? How does the oil look? What does the underside of the oil cap look like?

Do a pressure test of the cooling system and a leak down test on the cylinders.

Ah, bummer. Post up what route you go to fix it and if you find any other internal damage.
Good luck!
