I just wanted to clarify that running 5.29s w/ 33s won't redline at 60 mph, not even 90. Redline is 5500 rpm which would be somewhere around 110-120 mph. My 4.88s and 33's are nowhere near redline at 80 mph and 5.29s will only be approx. 300 rpm higher than 4.88s.

 

Only difference between mine and his tranny is 3rd.... Mines 1.275:1 and his is 1.384:1..... 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th are all the same ratio's......

Like you said about driveability.... my daily driving is around 5 miles all under 50mph..... I take an interstate speed trip about once a month, only 80 miles. And maybe take a road trip 2-3 times a year (500+ miles). so 5.29's are perfectly fine for me.
