I have a 88' runner with a 22re , dual transfer cases , sitting on 37x12.50s. I want to gear it down and still be able to drive At hywy speeds
would 4.88s be a good choice ? Thanks

most people will run a 5.29 for a 35" tire and larger. keeps the rpms up a bit more and makes it driveable on the highway.
use this calculator to determine your engine rpm with different setups. http://www.csgnetwork.com/multirpmcalc.html
then use this page to find your transmission gearing http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/faq/parts/
I recommend setting the 4x4wire page as a favorite in your browser...its full of lots of good info.
