gas mileage

what kind of gas mileage would expect out of a 3.4 v6 or 2.7 i4 (99 tacoma). I have been looking for a 4x4 ext cab toyota probably in the late 90's that would get good gas mileage. the 3.4 v6 seems to be easier to come by than the 2.7. mpg's and reliabilty are the important factors when buying this truck. I may tow a 4 wheeler on a small trailer but that will be about it. anything larger I will use my 3/4 ton. I am driving a dodge quadcab 4x4 at the present and the 13 miles to the gallon is killing me.

Google the factory numbers, and deduct 5%.

I would say about 17-19

My 2.7 gets about 20-22

K&N Cold air intake will help your mileage by 2-3'

Also, a good exhaust might add 1 or 2
