fuel line fail

I tried to crank my 89 today after replacing head gasket only to discover i left a fuel line unplugged. Can anyone tell me where this goes? Its at the end of the injector rail, near the firewall below the object near the center of the photo.

thanks. I am getting some conflicting information. I am told on ih8mud that the thing is the fuel pressure regulator and the line from it goes to a return line somewhere on the firewall. Since my fuel filter is fully hooked up, I am inclined to this explanation. Still, I am looking for a photo of where the return line is located.

Is it a 22re you are working on?

Does the pic in post #290 jog a memory?

Yes. I figured it out. It was the fuel pressure regulator. The line goes from the FPR to the hard line near it on the fire wall. It is the big rubber fuel line with an insulation housing.

Thanks for all the help.
