front end creaks when turning sharp

ok this is prob a pretty simple question for someone to answer.
I have a 87 4runner stock suspention and wheels, except i have 31x9.5 tires.

When i turn to either alomost full turn or full turn goign in either forward or reverse i hear a loud very noticible creaking noise coming from the front end.
I have no clue what i could be?

for starters, check out your ball joints. also, do you feel it in the steering wheel and is it a whine at all, or is it a pronounced, metallic creak? if it's more of a whine, check the steering. creak, check the ball joints and bushings. if possible get someone to sit in the truck and you listen. mine was creaking, and it turned out to be the ball joints -- well, the replacement for them, total chaos uniballs.

ya its definatly i metal creaking noise almost like opening a rusty door. And i was already thinkig nabout getting some ball joints and ball joint spacer because i have decided to do a ifs lift because of the stuff i drive on (mostly washed out logging roads for long distances and some mud but nothing where crazy travel is needed) but decnt travel helps at speeds. How much did you pay for your ball joints?

This is a common problem. Smear some grease on your steering stops and the noise will stop. Do a search for further info.

What about a creak/metallic pops in quick sucsession when decelerating (not always in a turn). It has me stumped.

New here. I also have the creaks, I guess I'll try grease on the steering stops. I just got my first 4Runner, it's an 86 and I've got the consecutive pops when stopping as well. Allready greased the BJ's and made sure they were tight. Mechanic said it might be the axle.

Unhappy 96 Toyota T100 noise

Ok I have a similar problem but mine only makes the clunking noise when I am in 4wd and turning a corner. I live in Massachusetts and require my 4wd often. Every storm we have had I need 4wd and hate turning a corner. It happens even with slight turns or hard turns. Clunks and shakes the steering wheel in your hands. Stock tires and they are not rubbing. HELP
