front axle for rear steer?

front axle for rear steer?

wanting to put front axel in rear upside down pointing foward to have rear steering will this work any comments thanks

Sure it will work. How you going to get a drive shaft to point towards it though? You'll have a crazy offset and the ujoints won't like you.

have dana 18 f&r passanger outputs ---ring & pinon still oil ok

How are you going to steer the rear? Id make sure to up grade the shafts and trunion (sp) bearings. The rear end takes a lot of weight when climbing hills and rocks.

Interested tho..ill be watching.

run the internal gears in reverse, they did this on Extreme 4x4 a while back. it was a pretty sweet rig. powered by an acura engine if i remember correctly.

the engine in that link runs backwards, and they already flipped the axle to get it to the right hand side. so when he reverses the gears he is making the axle run as it would if it were not upside down. so remember that if you do go with the 4wheel steer set up.
