engine harness swap?

I have been working on swapping a 22re from a 92' 4runner into a 89' pickup. Everything went fine until I went to plug the wiring harness in. Yea, it was different. D'oh! I used the wiring harness from the 92' 4runner.

Should I just take the harness from the 89' motor and place it on the 92' 4 runner? I assume this would fix my problem.

With 2 plugs unplugged, I had power but the truck would not turn over.

Thanks for the help.

You need to use the engine harness from the 89 pick up on the 92 engine, you will probably need to swap a few sensors from the 89 engine to the 92 engine to make everything plug in and work.
