Driveshaft is spitting out a bunch of sludge
Its gotten pretty bad and it is now caked on the underside of the bed.
I also can hear a knock sometimes when the car starts to move in 1st, or when i shift to second from first and let off the clutch to accelerate? is this related?
Obviously something is wrong, and I don't know that much about driveshafts to know. I took it in to someone and he said it would cost a lot of money to put a whole new driveshaft in.
Is that the route I have to go? Im thinking of calling other shops in the mean time to see if I can get some more opinions.
Thanks.

Take some pictures !!
There is not that much grease in the whole driveshaft .
Hot oil only takes a little to look like gallons .
Your sure it is not from the transfer case or differential ??
Just where is this toward the front or the back.
Figure out just what is wrong before spending money replacing good parts
Be nice to know just what your working on ??

Hmm, could it be that my knuckles are bleeding and when I drive fast it gets singed back to the drive line and gets flung only where the u joints are?
Looking at a couple more threads I read that the centipital force is highest at the yokes and u joints (I think that's right) it gets slung at those locations.
Photos to come soon.
