Driveshaft Grease

Just noticed tonight that my u-joints are dry (probable the reason behind the clunk I have), anyhow do I need to get 2 difference kinds of grease to lube the driveline as mentioned on bob98sr5 site or can I just use a multi purpose grease? Was the grease type standardized in 2000 (mentioned on Bob's site?

Yes, I did search and didn't find an answer.

I've been using Mobil 1 grease on all the driveline zerks for several years (since I bought the 4Runner). No apparent harm has been done.

I've been using the Moly grease in all zerks since Day 1 in 1999. 128,000 miles and 11 years and so far, so good--but I have no idea if it's really the right thing. I just couldn't deal with another grease gun in my life.

I've been using a moly grease on my driveshaft since I bought it a year ago. It doesn't look like the PO every lubed it. I know it's plenty full now but I still get the clunk coming to or leaving a stop. Maybe I'll have to replace it someday?
