difference between an ADD front diff and manual lockout diff: 97 Tacoma

my 97 tacoma front gears blew up need a new front carrier ADD is easier to find can i change the carrier extension from add to my manual extension will it bolt up or do i have to have a carrier already set up for the manual lockouts

You need a new differential housing with gears already in it? Or the differential carrier? Your wording is kind of off, thats why I'm asking.
Just trying to clarify..

If you just need the diff housing assembly with everything in it, then yes it will work. The differentials are the same. You'll just have to swap the jack shaft tube from your diff to the new one.
