I wanna cool down my intake temps.Exhaust temps might go down with good headers.I'm getting some knock even at 3 degrees.I already run 89 octane and I really don't wanna retard it any more.These motors are sluggish enough.CAI maybe?Can't remember how they configure those for the MPI 22RE.I put a cooler stat in it and it seemed to help.The cooling capacity on the '91 is less than the '93 ups.Is there something I can do about that?

 

For intake temps, Rig a CAI for it, I dont think anyone makes one... You'll probably have to do it pre-MAF/Airbox, unless you get real creative.

If you're fighting knocking, could be a few different problems... Do some research and see if a 87 22RET radiator or a 94 3vze radiator would offer any improvment on engine temps to mask the root cause....

As far as a root cause of knocking... dunno at the moment...
