Coolant drain question: engine drain clock
My rad started leaking recently so I will be draining and flushing the cooling system for the first time (22RE). The FSM says to drain the coolant from the drain clock at the bottom of the rad, and from the drain clock on the left rear part of the engine, and that's my question. Where is this second drain clock? I see a bolt in the approximate place the drain clock should be according to the FSM, but it doesn't look anything like the drain clock on the rad. Also, most how-to articles about draining coolant don't mention the drain on the engine; is it really necessary to open that one to drain the system?
Thanks in advance for your replies, I've posted some really nooby questions here lately, and everybody is always so helpful!

I don't know where the block drain is on a 22re, but most block drains do just look like a bolt. It just threads into a coolant passage, if you remove it make sure you put some rtv sealant on before putting it back.
I've never used the block drains when I've changed the coolant, mostly because on a V6 they're a PITA to get at. I just drain the rad, flush with a hose and refill with coolant.
