Clutch problem plz!!! Help!!

Ok so I have a 82 pickup long bed with 20r and what
I believe to be a g54 trans. So what's wrong? Well my clutch is not disengaging.
Replaced slave and master is good no leaks anywhere. The slave pushes the fork and every thing but for some reason does not fully disengage. I'm very confused on what's wrong any ideas???

Make sure the rod adjustment on master is correct, if so then its time to pull the trans out

Does your truck have a flex line between the master and slave cylinders? I know mine does. If so, when they get old, sometimes they will expand when you push the pedal down so it will limit the amount of pressure your fork receives, therefore causing your clutch to not fully disengage.

If the slave is moving the fork, the only option is to drop the trans and see what's up. Maybe a blown disc, or a failed pressure plate, or a broken fork?

Just how many miles ??

Did it get worse over time or just quit one day??

Clutches do wear out.

We have dropped the trans and everything seems fine. It has a brand new clutch
Pressure plate and resurfaced flywheel. The truck has been sitting for a while. So about 2 weeks ago I decided to get it going but this is holding me back. When we first bought the truck the clutch worked.

Yes it worked before. And the bearing spins freely and moves freely on the shaft

I have had this happen from setting the clutch is stuck on the fly wheel

With These Toyota trucks no good way to pop it loose.

Well I have taken the pressure plate and clutch disc off then reassembled all off it. I was wondering though is it possible that it's a bad tranny or something and the clutch could be completely fine?

Can you shift through the gears with the tranny if the truck is off and on level ground so it won't roll? Would that even indicate a good tranny? I don't know just almost guessing. Have you checked to make sure the clutch fork is being pressed by the slave? Air or water in the line could cause it to not operate properly. If she sat for 2years then something like that might be possible, condensation and such.
Hope this helps. Good luck

When the truck is turned off the tranny shifts fine with no problem. And yes the slave moves the fork. We looked at another Toyota to see how far it pushes the fork and they are the same. Maybe the synchros are bad?? thanks for the help guys!

Okay guys so I had the chance to get back on the Toyota. Ok I was tinkering around with and got the idea of putting a ratchet strap on the for well I ratchet it just enough to where the clutch actually disengages now. But still makes no sense. So that rid in the slave cylinder well I made longer. Now the clutch some what works. It's too long so it causes it to slip. So I just kept making it shorter. While doing that and testing it, now the slave cylinder will not full depress or go all the way back. This is a brand new cylinder to. Have any thoughts on what's been going on? Thanks for the help!

Ok have you replaced you slave and master cylinder fluid? Could be water or air in there after 2years. Also have you drained and refilled the trany with fresh fluid? Just more wondering what the old fluid looked like. You could have a bad tranny but I would flush you slave and master cylinder fluid first. Seems cheaper and easier.

Yea clutch fluid has been flushed and everything. Transmission fluid has been changed. Well I thought maybe a bad tranny but I also have a L52 that was in it at first and it was doing the same thing. The transmissions are good it's just something with the clutch bc when I made the slave cylinder rod longer it would disengage and let me go into gear. But when I went to actually move the clutch would slip but still somewhat move the truck.
