I got a small clicking coming from the front end whenever I have in 4WD and release my clutch to get going sometimes it will keep making it after I am already moving sometimes it will go away, but it only makes it it 4WD tried flushing and replacing the fluid what else could it be this is a 95 4runner.

My 93 p/u was making the same noise when I would lock my hubs, and ht even louder when I engaged 4wd. It was my cv joint. It's possible that Yours is worn out. Especially if you have auto locking hubs .

 

it is a definite possibility because both my inner boots are broken and the joint both have movement thats what we thought it was but one of my friend thought it was coming from the differential.
