Can someone confirm I have found the correct manuals and offer advice on any others?
Hi guys,
Can you guys confirm I've got the two correct manuals to start with on my new 89' V6 runner project before I go ahead and order them?
I've been searching for a couple days and reading all the threads on the FSM downloads that have come and gone and the different years/models. I've downloaded the 88 runner book but don't mind picking up the 89 just to have for the project as well (besides it will fill in a missing gap for the community as well).
These are the two I'm about to pick up to start with. The general consensus seems to be that the Chilton's isn't so hot but maybe the Hayne's offers some use as well. Is there any other books that might be useful for basically a complete rebuild of everything on the truck (specific to the vehicle)? Is the Hayne's worth picking up if I've got the FSM and wiring guide already?
Thanks for any advice!

And it's a good thing you intend on purchasing those. Since the 88 manual you downloaded doesn't cover your engine(3VZ-E). For 88 you'd have to purchase a a 3rd manual(if you have a V6), which is called the V6 supplement(to the 88 manual). That's because the V6 engine was just introduced in 88(presumably at some time after the 88 FSM was printed). The 89 manual has/needs no V6 supplement(since it already covers both engines).
