Buying a Tacoma TRD, questions
I am about to buy a Tacoma, Ext cab, w/ TRD package
I can afford 2003, 2004, or 2005, any preference?
Did they ever put a 4-cyl in the TRD package?
Are all the Prerunners TRD?

03 and 04 are my personal favorites. I'm not a fan of the bigger 05s and up. just my opinion.
Yes there are a few TRD 4bangers out there. my boss has one sitting right outside my window right now. make sure they have bilstien shocks and a button for the rear diff lock...not just a TRD sticker.
No not all the Prerunners are TRD. Again if they are TRD they will have Bilstien shocks and a rear diff lock.

I would personally stick to the '03 or '04. I like those body styles much better, and parts are becoming more available. Plus they have the 3.4L, instead of the newer 4.0L V6. The jury is still out on the 4.0L in my opinion.
