Have an 88 4wd truck with the 22RE and W56.

In need of a new MC.

I am wondering if it would be a good idea to get the 1" bore MC now and upgrade the calipers and rotors to the V6 ones.

Currently have 235/75/15 tires, but when these wear out will be getting 31s.

Or should I just get the standard replacement MC since I am only going to 31s?

 

If you want to upgrade the brakes, get a duel diaphragm brake booster and master cylinder from a 90 - 95 truck or 4Runner, that will make a nice improvement in your brakes.

 

do you think the upgrade mc itself (or with the calipers/rotors) is needed with 31s?

 

it helped me greatly just by doing the 1" MC and dual diaphragm booster. have not done the caliper upgrade "yet"

 

For 31'' tires you don`t really need to do anything, but the duel diaphragm brake booster and master cylinder from a 90-95 truck or 4Runner will make a nice improvement.
