Brake Malfunction Lamp on

I am a Newbie, but 1) the brake fluid is topped off, 2) I disconnected the low brake fluid level switch, and I also function tested the switch with a VOM, 3) the parking brake switch is working properly (and I also disconnected it to check it.) The light us still on.

On my '91, extra cab, 22RE four wheel drive Tacoma, can anything turn on the dash brake symbol except the low fluid sensor and/or the parking brake switch? One poster mentioned that it might signal "Other Brake Problems". I thought it might be the front/back proportioning valve, but unlike American vehicles, there is no wire going to that valve to signal that pressure was lost in either the front or back. Hence my question: Can anything turn the light on except the low fluid or P.brake? I don't see how the lamp could turn on from a proportioning or Load Sensing valve malfunction, nor any other brake problem except the low fluid wiring and/or P.Brake wiring. My brakes seem to be perfect.

THANKS!

I actually saw a way to test the light in the service manual. I will see if I can find it in the morning.

Just a heads up, you have a Toyota pick up. Tacomas weren't until 95.5.
I know ebay and other sites don't list anything but Tacomas
