hit it with a grinder that has a wire wheel, maybe have a shop vac handy for the mess, itll help prep the surface for the next application aswell.

Wink

If it is on as poor as you say a wire wheel should take it off.

If your talking about really good undercoating depending where it is oxy-fuel torch burn it off hit with wire wheel.

A good air powered gasket scraper works good.I have used a air hammer with a real wide chisel blade.

I have used the spray gasket remover with a putty knife.

I have at times used all of the above on the same vehicle

I repair a lot of floors where the under coating can be quite stubborn to remove

Go with the wire wheel. I had to do this a few years ago when I repainted one. Its a pain to clean up that way but takes it off a lot quicker.

I'd try wire wheel first, but beware of a huge mess. Wear something you don't care about. I just learned that power steering fluid dissolves undercoat, or at least it did on my dad's '02 Acura TL. It just wipes right off!
