Battery keeps dying

For the last couple of weeks. When I have tried to start the truck the battery has been dead. (Its a cheap one I bought from Advance two years ago) So i'll jump start it and all is good until I turn it off. I checked the voltage this morning. With the Truck running it had around 13.5-14 volts. So I'm guessing the alternator is good. I understand there could be a chance of a wiring issue some where. Any other reason why the battery would die right after I turn the truck off? Could a starter going bad be the culprit?

Thanks.

Battery could very well be not accepting the charge (bad cell). Is this right after you shut it off or over night? If overnight, unhook the battery and see if it still dead in the morning. You can always take it back to AZ and have the battery tested as well. it's free.

Probably a battery with a bad cell.

Assuming there's no other charging issue. Like corroded battery terminals/cable connectors that need cleaned(or replaced, as is often the case), other damaged cables/wires in the charging circuit, a failing alternator/generator, etc.. In my experience, almost ALL battery trouble is usually caused by something OTHER THAN the battery. My gut tells me that even if the battery is found to be faulty after such a short time, there's more than likely an explanation for it(that isn't "a manufacturing defect").

That's kind of what I was thinking. The truck has only been on the road for 1.5 years after a minor over haul. Also I noticed after I had a stereo put in the truck that it will cut off and then back on will driving at least once usually with'n the first couple hundred yards of driving.
