You can make a tester out of a 12v buzzer, just put some wire leads on it. What you do is hook it between the 12v battery post and the cable clamp after you unhook the cable. The buzzer will sound if there is a short because the short is a ground .once it starts buzzing pull one fuse at a time and listen for a change ,That will be the circuit to check. If it is a cd player or something else running it may not buzz. This can also be done with a test light.

Perhaps explain just how the fuse block got melted ??

That might give us an idea just where the problem might lie.

So your battery drains flat over night or in a longer period of time??

Then you put the battery on a charger to be sure it is fully charged??

Have you checked that the battery is still good ??

That all the battery terminals cables connections are good ??

I have seen poor ground cables cause a battery drain
