axle spline question?

i have a turbo 4runner and im looking to swap out the spider gear carrier with a 4cyl carrier will the splines still line up correctly due to different carriers?

Are you talking about the front or rear? (No, I'm not experienced enough to know if there is a spider gear in both the front or back, but I'm guessing there is.)

They are the same. You have a 27 spline front and a 30 spline rear. Why would you want to swap in a weaker diff?

because the 4cyl carrier can be welded alot easier then the v6/turbo carriers!
