Auxillary Transmisson Coolers

Just purchase a 2003 4Runner Sport and I am trying to get a handle on everything. So I tow a pop-up camper multiple times a summer and do some misc. towing year round. The previous owner did not tow and did not opt for the tow package. So I went to the toyota parts page and noticed they did not have a TRD auxillary transmisson cooler listed for 4th generation 4Runners. My question is, was there a good cooler already plumbed in to my 4Runner, so auxillary is not necessary for 4th generation? I did notice a cooler listed for the 3rd generation 4Runners. Any help clearing this up and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

So I picked out a cooler to hook up from looking at posts regarding Gen.3 4Runners. My question for anyone tht may know, is the plumbing on the Gen.4 any different than that of the Gen.3 posted in the DIY forums here on the board? Thanks in advance.

Just out of curiosity have you looked at the back of the radiator to see if there are two lines going into one of the radiatortanks? There would be one on top and one on bottom. One line would be the receiving line were the tranny fluid enters in the radiator, and the other would be a return line to send the cooled fluid back to the transmission. If you do, make sure the lines go to the transmission and not the power steering pump.If the lines go to the transmission then that is to cool the transmission fluid. I am not a 100 percent sure if Runners came with this but it might save you some money.
