Automatic Transmission Viewpoint

First post Like most have replaced my cracked head but while lots change their air fuel and oil filters regularly I am an advocate of fitting a new automatic transmission filter and fresh fluid as well What do you chaps think please?

Both mine are manuals, but I would think replacing the AT oil and filter at regular intervals would be just as good an idea as replacing the engine oil and filter.
I know I change my transmission, transfer case, and differential(s), oil regularly. It seems to be working well for my trucks. I would think the same concept would apply to the automatic transmission.

From what I found in "The Book", it says to replace the AT oil every 15,000 miles. In my opinion, for what it's worth, I would think it would be a good idea to replace the filter along with it.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Good luck to you!
