another stupid question

my 1980 4x4...smokes like a mother F@#$#@...when i rev it up..or when i floor it goin down the highway....why is this...its blue smoke...(obviously)....and i was also wondering(not going to do this but i was just wondering)whats wrong with putting blocks under the front springs..(like u do with the back springs on most lift kits)to get your desired lift??..thanks

Blue means it burning oil.. could be a few different things.( Rings, Valve Seals, ect.) Usually leads to the same place... rebuild.

They can spit out during braking. If you need help with the truck, I'm in tulsa.

Which is the same reason why they shouldn't be used in the rear either.
We usually won't wheel with anyone, in any type of vehicle, that's running blocks instead of lift springs.
I've seen a couple spit 'em out (rears) on the trail and the outcome isn't a pretty sight.
I simply won't be around that again
