Alternator issue...i think

Ok so I've read the forums but havent been able to find exactly what I've got going on. Just today my charge and parking brake lights come on at an idle when I can get it to idle. it's idling at 2000rpm's and when it drops to 1000 the lights come on but anywhere above 1000 the lights go out. I just replaced the alternator 3 months ago!!!! and have replaced it 4 times in the last year and a half!!!!I neeeeedddddd heeeeellllllppppp!!!!!!

# alts in one year. Are you checking voltages or watching gauges. I cant believe it is possible to torch 3 in one yr.

If your alternator sees alot of water and mud, then yeah its very possible to torch 3 in one year...
i'd tear it apart and check the bearings and contact points and all that jazz

I did check voltages and all that good stuff and they were all bad for sure. Thank God for lifetime warratee's!!!!! Thanks I will check the belt and if not I guess I'll tear it apart or get another. But mud and water can do damage to your alt? Because I play in the mud and puddles all the time thats what I was doing today when it decided to quit...again. Thanks
