Alternate source for genuine Weber kits?

Hey Yotatech.

So I'm ditching my Aisin for a Weber 38 (a 1" crack appeared above the fuel mixture screw so it's toast). I've been searching around on the forums and elsewhere for Weber/Redline kits and everyone says LCE, but imo their kits seems *very* overpriced (by about a hundred bucks). It doesn't even come with a different adapter, which is another 70 bucks or so. I'm not bashing them in any way but a hundred bucks is a lot of cash for me. Other options seem to be:

Ebay- I'm very leery of Ebay but if there is a reputable seller that is known I'm open to that

Weber carbs direct- seem to have a bad rap for selling knockoffs

Carbs Unlimited- seems OK, but ????

Pierce Manifolds- ???? No idea if they're reputable

Yotashop- Again, no clue

Amazon- these appear to be Chinese knockoffs sold by who knows

Weber/Redline website- emailed them today but no response yet. No webshop either.

Is there some secret source to a genuine Weber kit, or am I going to have to bite the bullet and go with LCE?

Hope you all have a kickass Wednesday

Also I might add that there were forum postings here about the issue, but none were very recent and I wanted to get updated info for 2016. Also a lot of the opinions seemed to be secondhand (I heard XYZ company was good) rather than first hand knowledge

I'd order it straight from Weber/Redline. I believe their sales all go through a 3rd party like Amazon or eBay - at least that's how it was when I bought my jet kit from them. They have very knowledgeable staff who actually answer the phone when you call, so dunno why you can't get hold of them.

I got my 38 from on eBay. He advertises them specifically as "genunie Weber" and "made in Spain" so if it wasn't legit then I has reasonable proof to go back to eBay and get my money back. He ships really quick and when it arrive it was in fact a legit genuine Weber 38. I got mine for $269 with free shipping. He has one listed now for $279 with free shipping (Below). Pretty good deal from what I have seen them sell for from other sources. I would recommend still getting the LCE spiral adapter in lieu of using the two piece Weber adapter to save yourself some future headaches.

Good to know in the future about Ebay, I think direct from Redline is the way to go for sure.

To anyone searching in the future, I ordered through Carbs Unlimited- it was about the same price (260ish for a Weber 38) and it was indeed genuine. Comes with the carb, crappy Redline adapter (toss it!), and *one* block plate with the barbed PCV fitting. Took about 4 days UPS from their little store in the West Coast to the Mid-Atlantic where I am.

Now I just gotta spend 10 more hours on Yotatech to get the thing installed
