LC are great headers, but I can't see paying as much for headers as I did for the entire vehicle. Their prices are ridiculous.

I bought Doug Thorley headers for my 3.0. I don't like the sound they make after ~2800rpm. Sounds horrible IMO so I always try to shift right before the nasty sound. It sounds like an exhaust brake on a diesel motor after 2800rpm.

yah i saw some of the prices and they are way up there. i'm pretty new to this stuff so i just thought headers would be a good way to get mpg... but i guess not.

what are some good ways to get better mpg?

Probably start with searching. I've noticed I use less gas when I don't drive it as much.

Regear if you have bigger tires, take all unnecessary junk out of the vehicle, change oil regularly, full tune up, drive slower, dont accelerate fast, brake sooner, make sure the tire PSI is correct and even all around, dont let larger friends ride in your vehicle

4 cyl or V6 3.0 (by looking at your avatar)

3.slow is pointelss.

4 cyl "header" will wake it up a bit if you do the exhaust right

You might think of adding a vehicle description to your signature line and in future posts you start a more specific and elaborate thread title will help in getting useful responses quicker.
