Question 94 distributor question

Hey guys I need some advice from the experts. I'm doing a motor swap from an 88 4runner 3.0 into a 94 pickup and I need to know if the distributor from the 94 will fit in the 88 block? I want to keep the distributor from the 94 because I just want to plug and go. The distributor from the 88 has a much longer shaft but it fits in OK. Also if I can't use the 94 distributor what would I have to do to make the 88 distrbutor work? Thanks, any advice would be appreciated.

I am swapping a 3.0 from an 88 truck into a 94 4runner right now. I am hoping to get the distributer done tonight and I will let you know what I find.
