i have been driving a 93 toyota v6 ex cab, 4x4 for around 5 years now. it has had the head gasket and tie rod recall done, but i was wondering if it is normal for it to tick? it kind of sounds like a exhast leak especially on the freeway, from the drivers seat it sounds like its more on the drivers side. i was told they are kind of noisy??

 

must be if you can hear it in the cab, i can hear my injectors tick with the hood up but not in the cab, a good way to find it is to take a socket extension and poke around with your ear on it and listen for which metal part does it the loudest.
