Hello all...

I have a 91 runner 5sp 3L V6 that needs a new/rebuilt engine. After a compression check that showed bad results...

I need to get an idea of the cost; if I purchase a rebuilt engine from someone who does a good job rebuilding them?

I am not looking to do any kind of upgrade...just the same stock engine that the truck currently has.

My friend just rebuilt his 3vz himself and it ran him about 1200. Sounds like you dont know much about wrenchin so id look around for a shop that would do a rebuild for you.

People who go to the dealer for the head gaskets usually spend around 2000.
